文芸春秋で興味深い本をたくさんプロデュースされている衣川さんから、（東京のご近所フレンズのお一人でもあります。＾＾）
最近手掛けられた本を贈っていただきました！
増田寛也氏監修・解説の「地方創生ビジネスの教科書」。
日本各地１０カ所で取り組まれている地方創生ビジネスの成功事例が
紹介されているのですが、
その中にニセコ町も紹介されていました！
観光協会の株式会社化と外国人の活躍というテーマで
ニセコが「世界のリゾート」に躍り出た理由が
解説されています！
その他にも和歌山県、北山村のみかんや
岡山県、西栗倉村の森の学校の事例など、
とっても面白くて一気に読んでしまいました。
ニセコ好きな方、また、地方を元気にしたい！と熱い思いのある方、
必読です。

Interesting book , Textbook on "Chihou Soisei" business
ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー
One of my neighbor friend, Kinugawa-san, who is very intelligent and charming,
and produces variety kinds of interesting books at Bungei Shunjyu Publishing company.
A book she has worked on recently , has been sent to me!
The title is "Textbook on "Chihou Soisei" business" ( = creative business,
overcoming Population Decline and Vitalizing Local Economy)
by Mr. Hiroya Masuda.
The successful story of 10 selected local businesses, created all over the Japan.
One of them is Niseko Town!
The theme is
Mr. Masuda explains the reason why Niseko has become one of the top international resort.
Converting tourist office running publicly became demutualized,
and the existence of an foreigner making biggest impact
contributed this niseko 's sucesss.
For those who loves Niseko and also those enthusiastic people who want to vitalize the country, I recommend this book!
環境新聞にニセコ町を紹介！

８月から月１回連載がスタートした環境新聞「ソーシャルコンシェルジュのエシカル手帖」。
隔月で、理想のサステナブル・タウンを求めてというテーマで
現在日本に２３あるEco Model Town / 環境モデル都市の中から気になる自治体の取組を
紹介していきます。
その第一弾として、去年環境モデル都市のに選ばれた、ニセコ町を取材しました！

Introducing NISEKO as a Eco Model Town, in the trade newspaper " Environmental Newspaper" !

Since August, every 1st Wednesday of the Month, I started writing a column called
"Ethical Lifestyle Notebook by Social Concierge "
in the trade newspaper " Environmental Newspaper" with the circulation of 80,000 copies.
In alternate months, I write about the theme on " searching ideal sustainable town",
reporting Eco Town I visited, out of 23 municipalities,
certified as a Eco Towns by the National Cabinet Office.
As a the first report on this theme, I covered the Niseko Town, certified as a eco model town last year.

美しいお庭で朝市、「マルシェdeマッカリ」

ニセコ町の隣町、真狩村にある素敵なガーデンでの朝市、「マルシェdeマッカリ」のご紹介。ここは、「野の花診療所」が運営していらっしゃる、
リハビリテーションや園芸療法を行っているデイハウス「風香庵」に隣接しています。
『空の庭（Ku's Garden)』。
デイハウスの利用者、村民の方が一緒に創られている庭なのだそうです。
夏は、ここで月に１回（第一日曜日）8:00-12:00に
近隣の農家さんの新鮮お野菜やハンドメイドのフードやクラフトのお店が並ぶ、
朝市「マルシェdeマッカリ」が開催されています。
７月から始まった「マルシェdeマッカリ」、
今年は, 今週末、１０月４日（日）が最終回。
以前このブログで紹介した、オーガニックカフェ「こむぎ野」さんも出店され、
ニセコのオーガニック農家さんのお野菜も購入できますよ。
この癒される、美しいお庭の中でヨガのワークショップも開催されています！

Farmer's market in the beautiful garden 〜"Marche de Makkari"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today, I would love to introduce my favorite farmer's market, "Marche de Makkari".
This morning market is held at the beautiful garden in Makkari village , next to Niseko Town.
This healing "Ku's Garden" has been maintained by day-care rehabilitation house " Fukoan", run by " Nonohana Clinic" .
Here, the users of the day-care house and people living in the village work together to create this charming garden.
In summer,
"Marche de Makkari" is held on every 1st Sunday morning of the month since July (8:00-12:00).
You can buy fresh vegetables from local farmers and hand-made food and craft,
including the organic cafe "komugi-no " , which I introduced in the previous blog.
This weekend, Oct. 4th (Sun) is the final market this year!
There is a YOGA workshop in this marvelous garden during the market as well !

ニセコでオーガニック・ココナッツオイル、ナチュレオを販売していらっしゃる加藤さんと野田さんも出店。
Mrs.Kato and Mrs. Noda from Niseko, are selling organic coconut oils, Natuleo.
Ku's garden で採れたバラで作った、ローズウォーターとポプリ。 いい香りでした！

同じくKu's garden のブースで見つけた、

真狩高校の生徒さんも野菜やお花を出店。真狩高校は、全国的に珍しい「野菜製菓子」「有機農業」
コースがあるのでも有名ですね。

ハロウィンかぼちゃ収穫祭 / Halloween Pumpkin Harvest Event !

ニセコの秋の風物詩、ハロウィンかぼちゃ。
この季節、町中オレンジのハロウィーンかぼちゃが飾られ、賑やかになります！
毎年、このハロウィンかぼちゃを育てている、"かぼちゃママ"とみんなから呼ばれている
岩崎さんのファームで収穫祭イベントに参加してきました！
岩崎さんは、数年前、一家の大黒柱であったご主人を突然亡くされ、失意の中、元気を取り戻そうと,女手一つで、このハロウィーンかぼちゃを育てるプロジェクトをスタートさせました。
このイベントに参加するまで知らなかったのですが、
毎年恒例の町中のハロウィンかぼちゃ、ニセコ町役場の観光課の方々が中心となって
ボランティアの方と一緒に、岩崎さんの収穫のお手伝いをされています。
このハロウィーンかぼちゃプロジェクトの協賛事業者や街道、公共施設に
まるで"ハロウィン・サンタ"のような、みんなが喜ぶように、
一生懸命、届けていたのです。
特にジャンボかぼちゃは巨大なので、収穫はひと苦労です。
一個一個傷つかないように収穫しては、トラックに積み、町中に運びます。
そんなみなさんの努力があって、おそらく日本で唯一の、ハロウィンが楽しめる町が誕生したのでした。。。
今週の土曜日、１０月３日、
町のインターナショナルスクールが中心となって
ハロウィンイベントが開催されいます。
かぼちゃの置いてあるお家( 11カ所）
「Trick or Treat (トリック・オア・トリート)」
(= いたずらか、お菓子か、という 意味)
と玄関のドアと叩けば、
お菓子がもらえます。
＊町民センターで申込をすれば参加できます。（受付は9:30-11:30まで。参加費¥500）
仮装コンテストやお楽しみ抽選会あり、
美味しいフードショップもたくさん出店されます。

Autum 's seasonal tradition in NISEKO is "halloween pumpkin" .
In this season, all over the town become so lively with decoration of orange pumpkins!
Every year, Mme. Iwasaki, everybody calls her " pumpkin mama" grow this halloween pumpkins.
And I participated the pumpkin harvest event at the Iwasaki farm for my first time!
Mme. Iwasaki lost her husband, the mainstay of a family , years ago.
In the middle of great sorrow, she had tried to regain her spirit, and started this growing halloween pumpkin project for the town.
I did not know until I joined this event that
all pumpkins in the town are cultivated by people from the tourism division of Niseko Town Office,
and some volunteers. and then they go out in town for delivering and displaying the pumpkins at shops and hotels who sponsored this project, and main streets and town's public facilities.
They have been making great efforts to make people in town happy, like a " Halloween Santa" . ^^
Especially, jumbo pumpkins are so big, it is hard time to harvest..
Everybody take a special care not to damage the pumpkins ,and load them to trucks and deliver them into the town.
With their sincere efforts, Niseko is probably the only one place in Japan, where you can enjoy the real halloween feast.
This saturday, Oct. 3rd,
the halloween festival is taken place, organized by international school in Niseko!
If You visit houses displaying pumpkins (11 houses), and knock the door and say " Trick or Treat ", then they would gift confections to you on this day. ＊You need to enroll at the town center. (Reception opens for 9:30-11:30. Participation fee :¥500）
In the event, there are many fun contents such as costume contest , lucky draws and local food carnival.
