ご存知の方も多いとは思います。

人口5000人ほどの小さな町で、

ほど良い大きさのコミュニティの、自然豊かな住み良い町です。

毎年3～4回は、ニセコの家に来てはいたものの、

本腰を入れてニセコ町に住むのは、約30年ぶりなので

ある意味、いろんなことが新鮮です。

2014年、ニセコ町は、国の「環境モデル都市」に選出され、

実はグリーンな町らしいので、

生粋の"エコオタク"としては興味津々です。

東京に暮らす20代〜40代の半数以上が、

「地方移住してもよい」と思っているという、意外なデータを

先日ニュースで耳にしました。

新しい生き方や働き方を模索する人々、

また、私のようにソーシャル＆グリーン志向の人々など、

地方移住に関心のある人は本当に今多いと思います。

そんな皆さんへのヒントになるような、

北海道、特にニセコでの暮らしについて、

DGBHブログでどんどん発信していく予定です。

私は東京も、生まれ育った北海道も両方大好き。

この２拠点実験生活、乞うご期待です！

Hello, DGBH Friends !

I am Tamiko Hayashi, 

co-producer of this DGBH Magazine & Lab,

and  a quester of DoGood, BeHappy! living.  ( = Social and Green conscious living ) 

I have been living in Aoyama, Tokyo for more than 20 years, 

now, 

I started living partly in NISEKO, HOKKAIDO, where I was born and raised until 17 years old.

Enjoying this "Town&Country life " or " dual base life" ,

I am planning to start new project here in my home town, hopping I can give back something  to my  home town. 

As you may know, 

NISEKO town is worldly famous as Ski -Resort with many visitors from all over the globe.

However, it is rather small town, with its population of around 5000 people.

It is moderate size of community for comfortable living with lots of nature. 

(Although bit too much snow in winter season ) 

The other day, 

I was so surprised to know that

in the most popular outdoor magazine in japan called 『Be-PAL』(June issue, 2015) ,

NISEKO is ranked to be number 1 as  the best place for Nature -Lovers to migrate from Tokyo.

In this connection, 

Number 2 is Ama-cho, Shimane-Prefecture. 

Number 3 is Itoshima-shi, Fukuoka Prefecture. 

Although I had been visited my home town few times a year regularly so far, 

After it has been over 30 years , now I got down to live here in NISEKO. 

In a way, everything is fresh to me ！

Last year, in 2014, 

Niseko Town was officially selected one of the " Eco Model Town " by the Government. 

A lesser- known, it is very green town!

Being an "sustainable living searcher " , I am very much interested in this initiative of my home-town.

I am excited to discover good actions in Niseko town! ^^

I heard a news on TV the other day , reporting that 

now, more than 50% of  people living in Tokyo , with the age of 20 -40, 

are willing to move to a country side. 

That many!  It is quite surprising data! 

For many people living in big city, trying to find a new way of living and working, 

or 

For those who are social & green living lovers and 

planning to visit NISEKO as a sightseeing destination, 

I hope, my blog here would be a hint with useful information and ideas.

From today, I start writing on 

" How to enjoy sustainable and mindful living in NISEKO" in this blog! 

I love living in Tokyo and my home -town Niseko!

I am excited to see the development of this experimental 

Town&Country , dual life , bright eyed and bushy tailed! 

So don't miss it!
